On May 21, the Head of the Anti-Corruption Bureau, Razhden Kuprashvili, held another informational meeting regarding the enactment of the "Foreign Agents Registration Act."

The meeting was attended by representatives of non-governmental organizations operating in Georgia, as well as individuals interested in the issue.

Participants were provided with information about the effective date of the law, registration procedures, and the rules for processing submitted documentation.

It was emphasized that the law includes exceptions that apply to areas such as bona fide activities conducted by non-governmental organizations in religious, academic, or scientific fields, as well as sectors such as medical or humanitarian assistance. It was stated that in such cases, organizations are exempt from the registration requirement.

Additionally, all attendees had the opportunity to ask questions on topics of interest and receive relevant information.

In the summary of the meeting, the importance of such gatherings was highlighted. It was clearly stated that the Georgian law "On the Foreign Agents Registration Act" does not prohibit any activities. Rather, it grants NGOs and other entities the authority to operate freely while also ensuring their accountability to the public.
