Pursuant to the decision of the Prime Minister of Georgia, on February 10, 2023, Razhden Kuprashvili was appointed as the head of the LEPL Anti-Corruption Bureau. According to Article 20 bis16 of the Law of Georgia "On conflict of interest and corruption in public institutions," the head of the bureau will occupy the abovementioned position for a term of 6 years.
Irakli Gharibashvili, the Prime Minister of Georgia, met with the recently appointed head of the LEPL Anti-Corruption Bureau. At the meeting, the Anti-Corruption Bureau's future activities were discussed. It was emphasized that the Government is meticulously working on the implementation of the 12-point plan of the European Commission, and the creation of the anti-corruption bureau is also part of implementing this plan.
The Head of the Government congratulated the Head of the Anti-Corruption Bureau on his appointment and wished him success in his future work.
On January 10, 2023, on the website administered by the Civil Service Bureau and, in accordance with the Law of Georgia "On conflict of interest and corruption in public institutions," the selection competition for the head of the Anti-corruption Bureau was announced. On February 6, 2023, the Competition Commission presented three candidates before Georgia's Prime Minister to appoint the Bureau's Head.
