Razhden Kuprashvili, the Head of the Anti-Corruption Bureau, met with Richard Nephew, the Department of State’s Coordinator on Global Anti-Corruption.
 
The Head of the Bureau emphasized that Georgia occupies a leading position in global evaluation indexes with a low level of corruption.
 
During the meeting, the parties discussed the functions and main directions of the Bureau.
 
Razhden Kuprashvili outlined the reforms carried out by the Anti-Corruption Bureau and its future plans. The conversation also covered the digitization process and the development of the National Anti-Corruption Strategy.
 
The Head of the Bureau highlighted the importance of cooperation with international partners, sharing experiences, and developing capabilities in the fight against corruption.
 
Richard Nephew affirmed that the US administration will support the Anti-Corruption Bureau of Georgia in effectively implementing reforms in the fight against corruption.
 
The meeting was also attended by Sarah Rupert, Director of the International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) at the U.S. Embassy in Tbilisi, Georgia; Dr. Kris Fresonke, Global Anti-Corruption Regional Team Lead; Tamta Kachkachishvili, the First Deputy Head of the Anti-Corruption Bureau; Ana Kalandadze, Deputy Head of the Anti-Corruption Bureau; Giorgi Bagdavadze, Legal Adviser; and Tamar Nasaridze, Program Coordinator of the International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) of the US Embassy.
