The head of the Anti-Corruption Bureau, Razhden Kuprashvili, met with Shalva Papuashvili, Chairman of the Parliament.
Razhden Kuprashvili informed the Chairman of the Parliament about the Bureau's achievements and existing challenges. The discussion focused on the mandate of the anti-corruption bureau, the improvement of anti-corruption mechanisms, and issues of conflict of interest.
Razhden Kuprashvili stated that the service will actively work on the development of an anti-corruption strategy and will support the process of improving the abilities of public and civil officials in filling out declarations, which is one of the anti-corruption service's goals.
The Speaker of the Parliament pointed out the importance of implementing European recommendations, within the framework of which the Anti-Corruption Bureau was created. Shalva Papuashvili also discussed the role of the Parliament in implementing "GRECO" recommendations and indicated willingness to improve collaboration between the Georgian Parliament and the Anti-Corruption Bureau.
The meeting was attended by the Deputy Head of Cabinet, Nino Shavgulidze.
