The head of the Anti-Corruption Bureau, Razhden Kuprashvili, met with Lena Morton Owens, Resident Legal Advisor, Department of Justice of the US Embassy in Georgia.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the Bureau's activities and future plans. Important problems such as efforts to be taken in the fight against corruption, development of whistleblower protection mechanisms, implementation of the risk assessment method in agencies, staging suitable public awareness events, cooperation with municipalities, and so on were highlighted.
The parties further indicated on importance and necessity of strengthening the existing cooperation with the Department of Justice of the US Embassy in Georgia. The Bureau's head expressed hope that the use of the corruption prevention bureau will result in success.
The meeting was also attended by Tatiana Pataraia, Staff Attorney at United States Embassy in Georgia.
